The correct size is not a detail – it is the
foundation of healthy movement.
At Baby Bare Shoes, we believe in one simple
principle: Shoes that truly fit.
Not bigger to last longer. Not smaller to “just fit”.
But exactly right for natural movement.
1. Length allowance – the foundation
Maximum length allowance 1.2 cm, ideally up to 1 cm for younger children. Too
much extra space causes instability and affects walking patterns.

2. Width – not only about the toes
Width concerns the entire foot. Side allowance should be no more than 2–5
millimetres. Shoes must not squeeze, rub, or create excessive empty space.
The foot should be stable yet naturally free.

3. Instep – often overlooked
There should be no pressure on the top of the foot and no marks. Compressed
instep can change the walking pattern.

4. Watch the walking pattern
Shorter steps, reluctance to run, tripping, or complaints about toe pain are
warning signs.
5. How often should you check the size?
Measure the foot about once a month and check the inner space. If something
feels wrong, act immediately.
A child’s foot deserves respect.
