The Febo Fall collection is designed as a transitional ankle barefoot shoe that will provide more coverage on colder days, but at the same time will not restrict the natural movement of the foot. The shoes are extremely flexible both transversely and longitudinally, which is one of the main attributes of barefoot shoes. The basis is the unique 3 mm Baby Bare Shoes rubber sole, which supports a natural step and better contact with the surface when walking. Thanks to this, the foot can perceive uneven terrain and work naturally.
Selected models of the Febo Fall collection have a water-repellent and breathable TEX membrane, which is 100% recyclable. The upper is made of smooth, velor or patent leather, depending on the specific version. The models may have a scuff strip and with smooth leather, which may be more sensitive to abrasion, the option of adding an anti-scratch strip on the toe may also be available according to the product offer.
Why choose: transitional ankle design, exceptional flexibility, flexible 3 mm sole, selected models with TEX membrane, leather versions according to version, heel elements according to model, honest production in Slovakia with a high proportion of handwork in the Febo collection.
Suitable for: spring and autumn, everyday wear to kindergarten and school, walks and regular activities. The collection often suits standard wide to wider feet and can also fit so-called flippers (narrower heel, wider front). The shoes can often be tightened well around a narrower ankle. Instep suitability may vary, in general the collection is more suitable for low to standard insteps, it may not be ideal for higher insteps.
Selection tips: choose according to the length and width measurement of the foot while standing and follow the size chart for a specific model. If you are looking for shoes for wetter weather, focus on versions with a TEX membrane. With smooth leather, expect higher sensitivity to abrasion and consider a model with a heel element or with the option of toe protection, if available. We recommend impregnating most models before first use, and treat varnished models according to specific recommendations. Warning: shoes damaged mechanically, for example by a bumper car, cannot be claimed.
Mini-FAQ:
Are the shoes suitable for rain and wet weather?
Yes, the Febo Fall model is equipped with a water-repellent TEX membrane, which is breathable but does not let water through. They are ideal for damp autumn and mild winter. However, for 100% protection, the manufacturer still recommends regular impregnation.
Can a child sweat in the model and will removing the insole help?
Thanks to the membrane, the shoe breathes, but in warmer weather, the foot may sweat. Removing the insole will slightly increase the space, but in this model it is recommended to leave the insole for thermal insulation and proper functioning of the membrane.
What type of foot do they fit?
Like other FEBO models, Fall is ideal for "flip-flops" (wide toes, narrow heel). They are suitable for normal and low insteps and, thanks to the ankle cut, they perfectly fix a narrow ankle.
Do new shoes need to be impregnated immediately after taking them out of the box?
Yes, even if the leather is partially treated at the factory, the first impregnation is key. It creates a protective film that protects not only from water but especially from deep dirt (dust, mud, grease), which would otherwise be absorbed directly into the pores of the leather.
Why should they not be dried directly on a radiator or near a heat source?
Extreme heat from a radiator causes natural leather to harden, become brittle and crack. In addition, the joints between the sole and the upper can come loose and the delicate TEX membrane can be damaged, which would no longer perform its function.
