The models are very light, airy and comfortable for everyday wear on warm days. The key element is the patented 3 mm Baby Bare Shoes sole, which is flexible both transversely and longitudinally and supports a natural step. The shoes have zero difference between the toe and heel (zero drop), which contributes to a more natural stance and gait.

The upper is a combination of breathable fabric and leather, the inside is lined with fabric for greater comfort. The fastening is with a Velcro fastener and there is also the option of adjusting the instep using an elastic band with a brake, thanks to which the fit can be better adjusted as needed.

Please note that measurements may vary slightly depending on the measurement method. The dimensions of the insole are not identical to the dimensions of the internal space in the shoe, so placing your foot on the insole is not a reliable way to verify the correct size. Adjust the Velcro and the elastic with a brake so that the shoe holds but does not press on the instep.

Are Febo Summer more like sandals or sneakers?
This is a sandal-sneakers, i.e. breathable summer shoes with a more closed character. It is ideal for children who need their feet protected in the summer (e.g. from dust and stones), but sandals are too open for them.

Is the insole in the model removable?
Yes, the Summer model contains a thin, completely flat leather insole that you can remove at any time. This is used to accurately measure the size by placing your foot against the insole and also to dry the shoe better after wearing.

How do they tighten and what instep do they fit on?
Summer models often use a combination of an elastic with a brake and one Velcro. This system is great because it allows for a very gentle tightening to a low instep, but the elastic can also be adjusted to a slightly higher instep.

Can it be worn without this insole?
Yes, it can be worn without the insole, which gives you approximately 2 mm of extra space in length and height. The inside under the insole is smoothly finished, so nothing will press on the foot.

Do they need to be impregnated?
Yes, we recommend a universal impregnation spray (suitable for both textiles and leather). This will help the textile repel water and especially dry dirt that would otherwise get stuck in the fibers. 

How to choose the size?
According to the measurement of the foot in a standing position and the size chart on the model, not according to the insole.
